Welcome to the East Durham Creates website!
COVID 19 Impact
With a heavy heart and in light of the ongoing situation regarding Corona Virus/Covid-19 we have taken the decision to postpone ALL of our programme of events and workshops until further notice. This decision has not been taken lightly and has been reached in consultation with our community groups and venues who work closely with us to ensure the health and safety of local people. East Durham Creates is currently considering a new method of programming so we can ensure local people can still get access to art and culture in a safe environment in light of the current situation.
If you have any questions regarding the above information then please get in touch with us. The East Durham Creates team is still available to be contacted on 0191 569 3511 or via email.
Thank you for your continued support of the East Durham Creates project.

East Durham Creates is funded by Arts Council England as part of it’s Creative People and Places (CPP) programme. East Durham Creates is one of 21 independent CPP projects. Each project is completely unique to it’s area and residents. East Durham Creates seeks to engage local people in creative activities and grow arts provision in ways that are sustainable and can last. We aim to attract more people to choose, create and take part in brilliant art experiences in the places where they live.
To find more about our recent projects and how you can get involved either use our What’s On Calendar or explore our projects in further detail through our creative programme, which is broken into three strands This Place We Call Home, Strikes of Brilliance and Art for Everyone.
