Sam 'Blue' Agard - Drum
Sam ‘Blue’ Agard – Drum Clinic
Monday 24 April, 2 – 4pm
The Lubetkin Theatre, East Durham College, SR8 2RN
East Durham College’s Lubetkin Theatre is proud to announce a world premiere drum clinic with Sam ‘Blue’ Agard on Monday 24th April 2017.
Blue has been inspiring drummers all over the world since he began touring with Corinne Bailey Rae in September 2005.
Since then, Sam has worked with the likes of Tom Jones (EMI), Plan B (Atlantic Records), Paloma Faith (Epic), Professor Green (Virgin), Lalah Hathaway (Stax Records) and many more.
It all began for Sam when he was a young boy playing in church and for his school steel band.
Sam is a phenomenally gifted drummer, who has contributed towards numerous highly acclaimed recordings including Professor Green’s ‘Growing Up in Public’ album, taking part in many tours and live performances.
The drum clinic will give you the chance to see Sam perform live and pick up loads of tips and advice as he shares some of his technical skills, musical flare, practice regimes, philosophies and gives an insight into his life as a touring musician.
Whether you are a young budding drummer, musician or a pro this unique event is a great opportunity to learn and be inspired.
Event organiser, Phill Benjamin said: “Sam’s C.V. says it all. But in addition to that, he is one of the best drummers I’ve ever seen. He has it all; he’s accomplished in all styles, a consummate professional, an experienced workshop leader and one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet.”
Sam ‘Blue’ Agard is currently endorsed by Zildjian Cymbals, Yamaha Drums, Tuner Fish, ProMark, PureSound and Evans Drumheads.
