Event Details

Participants of  If These Walls Could Talk project are invited to join us for a celebratory event to say thank you to everyone who was involved. If These Walls Could Talk saw Horden’s bus stands transformed into art installations that captured the magic of everyday life.

On Wednesday 7th August we will commemorate the project by hosting a FREE celebratory event. There will be a premiere screening of Maxi Bianco’s film made especially for the project as well as a photographic exhibition. During the event artists Sally Southern and Nicola Lynch will be returning artwork made during the project to keep as well as giving away a commemorative gift to everyone involved. There will also be a free buffet lunch and refreshments during the event. So come along to see what those bus stands were all about or see if you can spot yourself in our exhibition.

The If These Walls Could Talk project saw groups of people aged 55+ work with artists Sally Southern and Nicola Lynch to recollect stories of home and create artwork based about these magic moments. It was an unique one-day, pop-up art event that comprised of five themed installations based on rooms such as a kitchen, social club and living room, which were sited in bus shelters along Sunderland Road.
