Event Details

‘If These Walls Could Talk’ is a community based visual arts commission with East Durham Creates running until May 2019 as a branch of their 3 year project.

‘This Place We Call Home’ artists Sally & Nicola will capture the magic of everyday life, with individuals and groups who are over 55 throughout East Durham.

The artwork they will create will weave snippets and stories into its fabric, using a mixture of text, audio and imagery. They will create ‘rooms’ that will develop over the residency evolving in response to who they meet and the tales they tell. The resulting installations will appear in a variety of local settings.

If you are aged over 50, like to make things and enjoy a chat, come and join Sally and Nicola for the first round of workshops. You don’t need to be ‘arty’
