We have a new, exciting project starting in early November designed specifically for young people from across county Durham. Working with Pilot Theatre, an incredibly talented international theatre company, we hope for those taking part it will be a time to make new friends, share experiences and explore your creativity.

Pilot Theatre is an incredibly talented international touring theatre company based in York.  They are committed to creating high-quality mid-scale theatre for younger audiences, which is often many people’s very first encounter with this form. They also make work outside of traditional theatre buildings and their projects pursue a relationship with their audience that is often playful, interactive and participatory. Across all projects, they seek to create a cultural space where young adults can encounter, express, and interrogate big ideas that are relevant to our lives right now.

The project will consist of five online events, delivered via Zoom, in which we will try new activities such as journaling, drawing, and freewriting, as well as a final session where we’ll share what we have looked at during the project with friends and family in person at the Arts Cafe in Peterlee.
