We had such good fun at our Exchanges events, talking to lots of local people in all sorts of locations – and helping them to get creative. The themes of the sessions were “skill” and “portraiture”, and were led by local artists Paul Merrick, David Gross, Nicola Balfour and Jane Gower.
We were delighted to be able to exhibit the results at the Art Block in Seaham in May and June. The launch event brought together many of the people who had taken part, along with local artists and the East Durham Creates project team. It was brilliant to see everyone’s work exhibited and to talk about all of the exciting plans we have for East Durham Creates.
